Care Assistant/Support Assistant - High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Shifts: earlies, lates - on rota basis
Care Assistants/Support Assistants are required for a tranquil Care Home in a beautiful rural village just outside of High Wycombe.
Care Assistants will support elderly residents with their individual daily living routines within the Care Home, at all times encouraging their independence through providing choice and encouraging residents to be as independent as possible.
More important than years of experience, candidates MUST have the right attitude - care assistants must be good listeners, empathetic, encouraging, have a patient temperament and to able to demonstrate clear ability to truly engage with residents through conversation and rapport building.
Candidates will NOT be expected to administer medication - this is done by the nursing staff. However, you will support with personal care such as feeding, shaving, using hoists, etc.
NVQs are desirable, but not essential. Candidates should ideally have worked with elderly client group already, and therefore have a clear understanding about the daily challenges they face. Ideally you will have worked within a similar setting (larger Care/Nursing Home).
Must be trained on all mandatory (Manual Handling, First Aid, Food Hygiene) - training can be provided by PCB.
